Ancient beginning !!

Hi everyone !!
Today I am here to share a quilled project with you all... This project I started 6 months back... I did make some big flowers and some small filler flowers... But I just got tired of making leaves and just dumped the project in my craft wardrobe.. :P  . Believe me, I worked for a week or 10 days on this and just forgot about it... Recently when I was searching for something in my craft almirah, I thought it really needs to be arranged back properly... so I took out time and did that.. found this incomplete project...
Eventually I decided to finish it...

They have rightly said "There is no limit to learning"... In last 6 months I have learnt so much about Layouts and Backgrounds and so many new products used for them... Yes I can today make a better project.. But I love this one too.. If I am 10 steps ahead of where I started, cant forget the first step.... Coz I know that I still have to go 100 and more steps ahead from where I am today....

lets have a cup of coffee

Hi friends....
Hope all your crafting spirits are as high as mine...
I made this beautiful coffee card for a challenge.. By saying coffee card , I actually meant , made with coffee.... Using coffee in making this card also made it smell like coffee and so very yummmm......  ;)

  • I took this dark brown card stock for the base of my card...
  • Then I took a lighter brown card stock, which I wanted to use as patterned paper .. I created the pattern myself... First by running it through bigshot using embossing folder... Second I made a solution by dissolving coffee powder in water.. Then I took my favorite coffee mug, dipped its base in the solution and formed those ring marks.. lovely isn't it... They smell rich...  :)
  • My coffee mug also has a flap, which opens up saying.... "A lot can happen on coffee "   :)
  • The sentiment on top is heat embossed in silver...
  • F aux stitching is done all over outside and inside also...

First LO

Hello all crafty girls out there.....
Today is the day of our Independence... The day of celebrations and holiday...
Delhi is celebrating rains these days and so its a holiday from going out for many household chores....
I had made my daughter's first year scrapbook earlier this year in May, you can check the pictures HERE

Today I utilized my rainy afternoon in making this Lay out....  Its my first attempt in making one with so many texture effects in the background... The procedure is revealed below.. :-
  • I took an Ivory card stock.. heat embossed the Tim Holtz clock and ticket stack stamp with clear embossing powder
  • Did Heavy Distressing with spiced marmaled, rusty hinge and vintage photo.. Sprinted some water...
  • With momento black ink, stamped the writing and chandelier  ...
  • Bottom right corner has a piece of paper, embossed in Big shot using an embossing folder..
  • Torn piece of newspaper is distressed and pasted in the centre...
  • All of the above is done to create a textured background...
  • The finished look of the LO shows what all I used in foreground to give it this wonderful look..
A LO full of textures, colors, blooms, expression of Love and creativity.... :)
Hope you all like it and shower your love in your comments...
